Why Deming Was Profound
My new book, "Deming's Journey to Profound Knowledge," covers Deming's life work and experiences that led him to his infamous System of Profound Knowledge. My fascination with Dr. Deming grows deeper the more I learn about him. It's like peeling an onion. I had this epiphany about his life after finishing the book. Here are some amazing points about his life:
In 1900, he was born.
In the second scientific revolution (Newtonian to quantum), he was getting his Ph.D. in mathamtical physics.
In 1939, he implemented sampling for the first time in the US Census.
When he went to Japan, he was 50 years old.
During his 80s, he dedicates most of his time to his most important work.
In his last year, he published his life's work manifesto, System of Profound Knowledge, in 93.
